David Fung featured on WQXR's Annual Pride Show

Pianist David Fung will be featured on the WQXR’s Second Annual Pride Show on June 18. Originally scheduled as an event at The Greene Space in NYC, the program will now be video-streamed with an impressive list of artists including, among others, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Sara Davis Buechner, Davóne Tines, and MazzMuse. Amernet Quartet's Tufts Residency

The Amernet String Quartet enjoyed a mini residency with students at Tufts University March 9-10. While the quartet’s open rehearsal and final concert on March 11 was canceled due to the campus closure for the COVID-19 pandemic, it was scheduled to include Benjamin Britten's String Quartet No. 2 (1945), Bernard Rands String Quartet No. 2 (1994), and the Boston Premiere of Tufts faculty member Kareem Roustom's String Quartet No. 1: Shades of Night (2018).

Oklahoma City Philharmonic Premieres New Leshnoff Commemorative Work

Jonathan Leshnoff’s new work for symphony and chorus, Of Thee I Sing, had its world premiere by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic with Music Director Alexander Mickelthwaite on February 1st, 2020. The work was commissioned by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic (its first ever commission) together with the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Sussmann & Neubauer Tour Taiwan & China

Violinist Arnaud Sussmann and violist Paul Neubauer returned this week from a tour throughout China and Taiwan with Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. With performances in Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Nanjing, Sussmann and Neubauer were featured together with CMS Co-Artistic Directors Wu Han and David Finckel and violinist Paul Huang (who performed with Dinin Arts’ Danbi Um last month in Brevard). The November 30 Taipei performance featured Paul Neubauer giving the Taiwan Premiere of Shostakovich’s Impromptu for Viola and Piano, which was written in 1931.
